With the sudden cancellation of BBC America’s “Copper” after two seasons, the show’s producers are already said to be considering other options.
A big one at the moment that producers Tom Fontana, Barry Levinson and Tom Kelly are considering is reworking the storylines originally intended for the third season into a potential film.
Various cable dramas from “Deadwood” to “The Borgias” have all floated the idea of films that could wrap up storylines left hanging by abrupt cancellation. In practically every case though, the film never eventuated.
The series finale of “Copper” airs this Sunday on BBC America.
