Batman v Superman Aims For $925M Haul

Thanks to nearly half of all schools taking Monday off, Warners’ “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been scoring good business this week so far – adding an additional $15.05 million domestically and $46 million globally on Monday.

Through four days its domestic total sits at just over $180 million – a milestone it’s expected to pass tonight. It is not only smashing pre-Summer film season records but revenue-wise it is already ahead of “Furious 7” and “The Hunger Games” at the same point in time.

Early industry gross estimates for the film’s longevity have come in over at Deadline. Those stats suggest the film will drop 65% down to $58.1M in its second weekend – steeper than most blockbusters. However financial analysts and packagers believe BvS definitely will profit in the long run after all ancillary revenues are counted.

They also say the film, at bare minimum, will score a $375M domestic and $925 million global haul with much of the profit coming from ancillary sources.
