A&E has renewed its dark “Psycho”-prequel drama series “Bates Motel” for a third season.
Live+7 ratings for the second season premiere show ratings of 4.6 million viewers with 2.6 million adults 18-49 – making it the network’s top drama to date in the key demo.
The renewal isn’t a surprise, especially following the failed launch of Chloe Sevigny-led drama “Those Who Kill” which scored scathing review and lost a bunch of its viewership in its second week.
The current second season of “Bates Motel” is scheduled to wrap its ten episode run on May 5th.
