Archer Renewed For Three More Seasons

FX is keeping its spy comedy “Archer” on the air for a good while longer. The cable network has renewed the animated series for three additional albeit shorter seasons following the wrap of its seventh last month.

All three of the new seasons will run for eight episodes, down from the ten episode runs of the first and seventh Seasons and the thirteen episode runs of the second through sixth Seasons.

The eighth will premiere early 2017, the rest at a later date, and there has been no determination if these will be the final seasons of the series.

Additionally, FX has signed a new overall production deal with “Archer” creator Adam Reed’s Floyd County Productions, whose Matt Thompson also executive produces the comedy.
