Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed back the release of the sequel “300: Rise of an Empire” from August 2nd this year to March 7th 2014.
That will see it hit the same weekend that the first film opened back in 2007. A day and date international release is also expected.
No specific reason is given for the delay, though the highly crowded August calendar is likely to have had an impact.
At the same time, the Tom Cruise-led “All You Need Is Kill” has been pushed from that March 7th slot to a mid-Summer release on June 6th 2014.
